N.B. These social media sites are for adults to access and to use the materials with your children.

As of Monday, all schools will be closed to the majority of students. Now is more important than ever to encourage children to stay active, as well as promote both physical and mental health. Remember, the Chief Medical Officers guidelines for all children is 60 minutes of daily activity, 30 minutes of which supported by schools. We are reaching out to all schools to share and promote engagement in this challenge with all students.

Collectively, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight SGO's have produced a timetable of fun and engaging activities that all children can access and participate in, wherever they may be and whatever equipment they have access to. All activities are designed based upon achieving individual personal best. We must stress, there is no emphasis on competition between each student, and there will be no individual competition winners. However, there is no harm in having some light-hearted competition with friends from school if you choose to!

Each week we will be rewarding students that achieve the most progression. We will also be offering prizes for schools that achieve the highest participation from students. Therefore, it's really important to spread the word and engage as many students as possible!

We will follow up with rules and how to get involved in future emails. You will also receive information on how to record and submit scores and participation.

Finally, there will be daily updates and regular cross-curricular challenges that will be shared by the SGO's. These will include researching other countries and cultures and finding out about new Olympic sports, to name but a few.

We look forward to parents and children sharing photos and videos of all the activities they have taken part in. There may also be spot prizes for the best posts and tweets! Don't forget to use the #HSGDailyChallenge in your posts and tweets, as well as tagging your local SGO or Sports Partnerships so they can see what you guys are up to and the impact this challenge is having across Hampshire!

If all schools could actively promote this initiative (there is of course prizes for the most engaged schools!). Please get teachers and parents to follow the following social media to join in:
