Dear Parents and Carers,
In light of tonight’s announcement, we have been instructed by the government to close our schools with immediate effect. Just so you are all aware, we have had no prior notice of this and received the news at the same time as many of you this evening – at 8pm during the Prime Minister’s announcement.
From tomorrow, we will only be open for critical worker children and children who are classed as vulnerable. Vulnerable children include those who:
- have an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- have a child in need plan, a child protection plan or who are a looked-after child
- have been identified as otherwise vulnerable by educational providers
For those of you that have registered as critical workers with us, your child will have a place at school tomorrow. As the majority of staff will be required in order to fulfil remote learning expectations, we urge you to only use this provision if it is necessary.
For tomorrow, please drop your child off at the classroom door at 08.50 and pick up time will be 3.20. Please use the usual entrance and exit, continue to follow the one-way systems and ensure social distancing at all times.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide breakfast club or after school club as of tomorrow but we will continue to review this as the situation develops.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter – we will be in contact again tomorrow with more detailed information but we assure you that we will continue to do our very best for your children during these unprecedented times.
Mr Mitchell – Innes & Miss Hendry
