School Council

Role of the Cupernham Junior School Council

The School Council helps us all work together to address issues within school. It is used to gain feedback from the children as well as help the children be part of aspects of our school life.  They also support with key events for example children in need, and with the whole school identify the charities that we will be supporting each year. There is a school councillor for each class.

School Councillors are voted in by their class after having made a speech.

These are the things the School Council rep needs to do:
•    Be confident in talking to their class and in our meetings
•    Gather and share opinions and ideas from their class
•    Be helpful and proactive with making the school better and helping other people
•    Sharing ideas from the class and make them better, organise events and problem solve

•    Welcome visitors and be involved in open mornings
•    Report back after each meeting
