Homework

Reading and Maths homework will be set on a Monday and be due back the following Monday. 

Spellings are set on a Monday for a test the following Monday.

Please refer to the enrichment grid for optional topic homework.

We really appreciate the support you can give your child to help them with their homework, spellings and to listen to them read at least five times a week. Please record your child's reading on Boom Reader. 
 

PE

This half term, our PE days will be:

Tuesday - Jaguars swimming

Wednesday - Panthers swimming 

Thursday - Panthers and Leopard swimming 

Friday - Jaguars and Leopards swimming 

Friday - All Year 6 Athletics 

Please note, for the children who do swim, the following Hampshire County Council School Swimming guidelines apply:

• Swimming is part of the National Curriculum; therefore, pupils will be expected to swim unless a good medical reason exists for non-participation in which case a note will be required.

• A child with a verruca may still swim provided the foot is covered with the appropriate plastic sock available from the chemist.

• One-piece swimming costumes (girls) or swimming trunks/shorts (boys) should be worn. Please ensure that your child is fully prepared to swim on the appropriate days. Bermuda shorts are not acceptable. • Long hair must be tied back. The wearing of swimming hats is strongly recommended for all children. A small selection of swimming hats are available from the school office at a cost of £2.00.

Please ensure your child comes to school wearing their PE kit on these days and that all jewellery and watches are removed.

General

Please ensure your child has a water bottle in school and comes to school with sun cream already applied.
