As you will be aware, the government have declared that the day of the State Funeral for her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday 19th September, will be a bank holiday and that schools should close on this day as a mark of respect. We can confirm that the school will be closed to mark this important day in the nation’s history.
“When we arrived at Mountbatten School, we made our way over to the personal best challenge, where were were welcomed by some students. Our first match was against Halterworth, who put up a great fight! The final score, which was 1 nil, was achieved by teamwork and passion to win. Our best match had a great result of 2-0. Although we won the tournement, all teams played well. We managed to go the whole tournament without conceding a single goal, due to the marvellous saves by our 2 goalkeepers (Charlie and Danny).”
