Meet Our School Council

Our first important job as a School Council was to choose 3 charities for the school to support this year. We wanted to choose a local charity, a national charity and an international charity.

We asked our class mates for some ideas and then shared them at one of our weekly School Council meetings. We then voted from the most popular suggestions and have chosen...

Alfie's Wish is our chosen local charity.

Alfie’s Wish is a registered charity (1191020) supporting children with cancer and their families by funding days out to help make special memories.

Cancer Research UK is our national charity.

Born Free is our international charity.

As our local and national charities are for people, the pupils felt we should also have a charity for animals. Born Free is a an animal charity that’s passionate about wild animal welfare and Compassionate Conservation. They work to stop the exploitation and suffering of individual animals living in captivity or in the wild.

Second Hand Book Sale!

To raise money for our local charity, Alfie's Wish, we collected HUNDREDS of used books that people no longer wanted. We organised them by size, condition and age range. We then sold the books during and after school.

We are thrilled to announce that our second hand book sale raised a fantastic

£281.43

for Alfie's Wish!
