Welcome

Welcome to Cupernham Junior School

Cupernham Junior School is a community school that serves the community of Romsey. It is situated on the north side of Romsey, a pleasant market town within easy reach of Winchester, Salisbury and Southampton. The school was opened in 1968, and has grown over the last decade to be a three-form entry school, having up to 360 pupils aged between seven and eleven.

The accommodation provides twelve light, well resourced classrooms, a spacious multi-purpose hall, a central library, an ICT suite, a food technology area, and a music and drama room.

The school shares an attractive, eight acre site with Cupernham Infant School with whom it has close links.  The grounds are being extensively developed in order to maximise the learning potential for pupils as well as providing a pleasant environment.

Particular features of the extensive grounds including a very large playing field, a pond and environmental area, two sets of large play apparatus,  as well as various planted areas of shrubs and trees. As well as the normal outdoor sporting facilities, the school also benefits from having its own outdoor, heated, 20 metre swimming pool.

We are very much a community school and enjoy playing a central role in the local community, working alongside a range of community organisations.
